A one-of-a-kind musical concept is set to launch in Shoreditch on Monday. Meet Spiritland, a playful pop-up taking up residency at the Merchants Tavern, and celebrating our musical heritage for a three-month period thereafter. Featuring a world class hi-fi system that’ll beam out vinyl, CDs and tapes in dazzling definition, Spiritland is there for those looking to unwind with a few tunes, food, drink and good conversation.
So what will be on the speakers? From tracks you’ve been bobbing your head to for years on end to brand new beats from an encyclopedia of genres; Spiritland will have it all. They’ll be welcoming special guests each and every day to help deliver a taste of anything from smooth soul to Brazilian beats via bedroom classics and long-haired funk.
Entry will be free every day, and Spiritland are looking to go permanent with a restaurant, bar and members club in the new year.
Spiritland Pop-Up will run from Monday 6th October 2014 – Thursday 1st January 2015 at 36 Charlotte Road, EC2A 3PG.
