Ever wanted to try those imaginative and aesthetically-pleasing dishes you see on the Great British Menu? Well, now you can over at Only Food And Courses this spring. Following his appearance on the BBC cooking competition, chef and owner of the Central London eatery, Robbie Lorraine, will be whipping up one seriously tantalising six-course tasting menu. The latest series celebrated Britain's best animations and illustrations (as well as Paddington Bear’s 65th birthday), so you can expect whimsical plates influenced by fictional characters. Spoiler alert: the nostalgia will be real.
Crack on with unique dishes, such as Fancy a Little Smackerel which is inspired by the carrots from Rabbit’s garden in Winnie the Pooh. Afterwards, wet your whistle and delve into Darkest Peru – a Peruvian spiced sirloin with a marmalade glazed short rib sandwich all based on Paddington Bear's origins. Oh, and if you look underneath his iconic hat and suitcase, you’ll find a quinoa croquette and marmalade jar. End the meal with an Alice In Wonderland-themed dessert called Robbie’s Queen of Hearts, a heart-shaped cherry and chocolate gateau served on an edible playing card.
Only Food and Courses will be serving their new six-course tasting menu for £75 until the 13th of May. Book your table here and sign up for our newsletter to get more London news to your inbox.
