Hackney’s soda specialists Square Root are launching a brand new cola, and if that doesn't call for a three-week long celebration, we don't know what does. They’re inviting street-foodies Tongue ‘N Cheek over to their railway arch HQ on Amhurst Road for their WTF Why Not pop-up; an extravaganza of Italian cooking and cocktails made from scratch, with a dash of locally brewed beer to finish.
There’s a real do-it-yourself feel to Tongue ‘N Cheek, whose free range pork comes from independent farmers, vegetables are plucked from local sources and sauces are homemade on the day. They’ll be rolling out a choice of authentic Italian dishes (including the self-proclaimed best carbonara in London) and Heartbreaker sliders too on three weekends leading up to Christmas, starting from the 5th December.
Looking to get boozy? Don’t blame you; this is your chance to tuck into a few cocktails featuring Square Root’s very own sodas, starting with a few mixtures featuring their brand new cola drink and going on to include a few G&T’s and festive specials throughout the residency.
WTF: Why Not will run every Friday (4pm – 10pm), Saturday (10am – 10pm) and Sunday (10am – 4pm) between 5th December and 21st December at 449 Railway Arches, Amhurst Road, E8 2AJ.
