Tuck into some of the best in women's artwork, support worthy causes and get to know some cool, fellow females? Nasty Women UK are giving you all that and more this September as they work their way through a weekend of art exhibitions, talks, workshops, spoken word, live music and comedy at Stour Space. Part of the Nasty Women global movement, this event is designed to empower women, having already raised over $180,000 in aid of women’s charities across the world.
Not only will artwork the likes of painting, photography, sculpture and ceramics on sale go to supporting the charity End Violence Against Women, there's talks on activism, portrayal of women in the media and gender representation in the arts alongside workshops galore. Don't think they've stopped keeping you busy just yet. On the Saturday night, there's a line-up of comedy and live music, while the Sunday plays host to spoken word and live music.
Nasty Women UK takes place on 23rd and 24th September at Stour Space in Hackney Wick. The exhibition is free, with a range of ticketed events available from £5-15.
