One of the most historic dining rooms in London, The Georgian has recently been relaunched by Harrods director for restaurants and kitchens Ashley Saxton and pie master Calum Franklin, found on the fourth floor of the iconic department store. The original venue dates back to 1911, though it has been closed for an extensive period.

Fonda

The brains behind Michelin-starred KOL has launched Fonda on Heddon Street in Mayfair. Santiago Lastra wants his latest venture draw on family recipes and dishes from his childhood, bringing the restaurant's name (a 'fonda' is a name for a Mexican family-owned restaurant) to life.

Here, heirloom corn is milled in-house to create tortillas from authentic recipes and served with all mains, including slow-cooked short rib with mole poblano and charred monkfish with ratte potato and spicy kelp butter. Specials span everything from blue fin tuna crudo to huge confit scallops alongside corn chicharrón, gooseberries and burnt habanero salsa.
