London's rooftop game is strong this year. Move over beer gardens, there's more sky high sun-traps cropping up than ever before (Notch atop the London Marriott Hotel Park Lane and Forest Garden atop Selfridges to name a few). But the rumours are true, the team behind Shoreditch's much acclaimed Tokyo Nights have been busy plotting (and planting)....
A horticultural haven for food and drink is upon us.
An unlikely, yet incredibly lucrative partnership has been formed between John Lewis and the pop-up patron event organisers Night Tales to host a spread of new and exciting foodie themed rooftop residencies across this Summer. Green fingers at the ready as John Lewis lend their rooftop space to some of the city's most renowned and hyped restaurateurs.
The Gardening Society will be taken over by top foodie teams from The Dairy, B.O.B's Lobster and bbq haven, Shotgun. Graze through the pastures of this roof garden and discover a whole new food focus each month as well as slurping up all the goodness from the 'Background Bars'. This is where the Night Tales expertise limber up serving Summer drinks mixed with 'errbs grown and picked in the very rooftop garden. Bring on the Julep and Spritz galore.
The Gardening Society (John Lewis, 300 Oxford Street London W1C 1DX) opens from 27th May until 4th September 2016 every Monday to Wednesday 12pm until 8pm, Thursday to Saturday from 12pm until 11pm and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays.
