Summer is well underway, and you know what we’re really craving? Cocktails, of course. Luckily for city dwellers in the London Bridge area, the team from Nine Lives will be setting up shop on the cobbles of Holyrood Street.
Adhering to government guidelines regarding outdoor drinking and dining, the pop-up will provide a slice of Mexican bliss while revellers drink and dine alfresco. While the bar staff from Nine Lives keep the cocktails flowing with a menu of summer spritzes, frozen slushies and low alcohol highballs, native Mexican chef El Tigre will be serving a selection of mouthwatering tacos. Inspired by the sun-kissed flavours of 70s Southern California, the menu includes Baja-style sustainable and seasonal fish tacos, grilled shrimp tacos and octopus tostadas, all served with fresh salsas and crispy pickles.
Nestled just below The Shard, Nine Lives Alley will transport visitors to South America with bursts of intense colour, terracotta touches, agaves and desert grasses. Of course, they’ll be keeping everyone safe with limited capacity and social distancing, full gloves and face masks, guests taking their own trays away, hand sanitiser on arrival and on tables, contactless payments only and menus available directly on phones via a QR code.
Nine Lives Alley opens on the 9th July, and will be open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00-22:00 on Holyrood Street, London, SE1 2EL. Looking for more sips in the sun? Check out our essential guide to summer bars here.
