Dreamy roof terrace, a tequila collection to please Jose Cuervo himself and a line-up boasting the very best up-and-coming music talent? That’s what we like to call gig venue nirvana.
Founded by Mumford & Sons member Ben Lovett, Omeara is an uber-luxe music venue and multipurpose space with not a single sticky floor or watered down pint in sight. Oh, and it’s stunning. Set under the arches of Flat Iron Square, every corner oozes Friday night vibes, from its fairy light-adorned roof terrace (boasting views of Southwark Cathedral), to the sexy Central America-inspired Cantina bar.
The pièce de résistance though, is the 320 capacity live venue that lies at the heart of this place. Looking like a vintage ballroom, don’t let this room’s shabby-chic interiors deceive you - hidden behind the tawny walls and red-velvet curtain is a top-notch sound system, worthy of some of the most hotly-tipped acts on the circuit (with the likes of AlunaGeorge, Sam Fender and Sons of an Illustrious Father previously gracing the stage).
Phones at gigs? Usually, it's a no-go zone, but we think that maybe just for this place, we'll make the exception.
