So much more than just a place to watch sport, Pop Brixton are opening a place where you can get fully involved in the drama, too.
Arriving just in time for the start of this bumper summer of sporting action, Pop Fields is a brand new outdoor sports area in the heart of Brixton. It’ll feature an artificial pitch for all sorts of fun and games - we’re talking 4-a-side football, basketball, mini-tennis and more - which will also host impromptu summertime tournaments between local schools and sports clubs.
Of course, it's cool if you'd prefer to leave the exercise to the others. Pop Fields will feature a huge screen set to beam all of the memorable moments from Euro 2016, Wimbledon and the Rio Olympics to a lively home crowd, and you'll be able to keep close tabs on The Open and Tour de France along the way. There's to be half-time oranges and summer specials from Pop Brixton's clutch of street-food traders, while those much-needed half-time beers will come courtesy of a bar run by Brixton Brewery.
Pop Fields will run between Friday 10th June until the end of September at 49 Brixton Station Road, SW9 8PQ.
