Forget politics, the ultimate battle is and always has been between the 90s and 00s: Oasis and Blur Vs 5ive and Blue, Spice Girls against Busted, Madonna V Madonna’s much worse, later career. So I don't say this lightly: you can now join a (aptly themed) double denim party dedicated to this cross-decade conflict and you can do it while supporting charity Jeans for Genes.
Serial party people The Grand in Clapham are hosting this 90s Vs 00s Double: Denim Special bash on 22nd September, with ticket money and profits all going to the charity, which supports children affected by life-altering genetic disorders. There will be old school classics played by guest DJs all night, prizes for the best double denim outfits, a denim themed photo booth and speciality cocktails (including the, uh, Jean and Tonic…). But amongst the puns and copious, copious amount of material on display, there’s the best news to come out of any event held in London. I think you need to sit down for this...
Ready? Okay: B*witched. Are. Playing. B*WITCHED! This party is officially the throwback knees-up your 8-16-year-old brain has waited for, C’est La Vie indeed.
See B*witched live and join the 90s V 00s party on 22nd September at The Grand in Clapham. Tickets are £5 for Early Bird and £15 normally, and can be found here.
