Craving those home comforts? Look no further than Crouch End where Edith’s House offers diners the chance to sit back and relax at grandma’s house. When ex-actors Eaton James and Michael Camp set out to create a restaurant, they thought about the perfect nostalgic experience with an inviting, relaxing environment, and thus Edith’s House was born.
Named after one of the founder’s grandmother Edith, the little café is dedicated to everyone’s nana, with twee furniture, retro ornaments and shades of magnolia, beige and soft pink making up the décor. Eat brunch on the toilet, sip coffee in bed, or enjoy a cream tea at grandma’s dressing table at this kitsch immersive dining experience. The menu includes traditional home comforts such as hot breakfasts, bacon butties, stuffed sandwiches and both sweet and savoury pancakes. In addition to this, there are scrumptious specials served daily and a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian options available.
Edith's House can be found at 59 The Broadway, Crouch End, N8 8DT and is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 6pm.
