After teasing a makeover last month, Mayfair's iconic restaurant has done away with Brighton-based artist David Shrigley's iconic prints and tableware to make room for a change.
But this isn't the first time that Sketch has switched things up; back in 2022, the Gallery started life as an all-white room that hosted hundreds of films, before it was handed over to Martin Creed in 2012, then Shrigley in 2012.
And now? British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE RA has joined forces with architect India Mahdavi to breathe a new lease of life into the space. Celebrating African culture, the Gallery is now home to bright yellow tones and 14 new pieces of art. Think textiles, handpainted masks, and framed quilts inspired by Pablo Picasso.
Time to get to the Gallery.
