If you’re serious about your food, you’ll need to get a date locked into the diary to visit Pergola on the Roof this summertime. Like, right now.
Four of London’s leading restaurants will be in the house, linking up to offer bespoke menus underneath a huge pergola 170 feet above the streets of Shepherd’s Bush. This fresh new rooftop dining experience is vowing to bring feel-good sunny vibes in abundance, as the likes of Rabbit, Salt Yard, Patty & Bun and Le Coq get busy cooking up some innovative new dishes to the tune of rotisserie chicken, pork belly, ribs, scallops and more. It’s free to get in, no dish is priced at more than £13 and a lot of plates will offer change back from a tenner.
Mouth-watering eats aside, there’s plenty more to look forward to under the pergola. At the centre of the fun will be a bar serving everything from wine to bubbles, beers to cocktails, with a roaming drinks trolley on cue if you’re just too chilled to think about getting up and walking to the bar. The 400-capacity Pergola on the Roof will also offer bookable day beds (quick mid-afternoon nap, anyone?), two boules pitches and a retractable roof to protect in the (likely) event of rain. It’s going to be a self-service concept and groups of 10 will be able to eat from different places around the same table thanks to the ‘pick ‘n’ mix’ styled set-up.
Pergola on the Roof will run from the 26th May to 29th August on top of the TV Centre, Wood Lane, W12 7RJ. Entry is free, and opening times are between 6pm and 11pm (Wed - Fri), 12pm - 11pm (Sat) and 12pm - 9.30pm (Sun).
