From his home fondue kits during the Covid-19 crisis to igloos with views over the Thames on New Year's Eve, there's no occasion that Jimmy Garcia isn't ready for. And his offering for post-lockdown dining and social-distanced eating is as stellar as ever. While, unfortunately the chef can't return to Southbank for his normal summer season, Garcia is still bringing his famous The BBQ Club - and he's looking to its early days for inspiration.
Heading to a secret garden space in Clapham Old Town, the refreshed and revamped The BBQ Club will allow groups of four - six people to book tables which have been safely spaced out. And much like in previous years, Garcia will be pulling out his Big Green Eggs on which guests will cook their very own seasonal seven-course feast; think dishes such as gin-cured and hot smoked salmon, monk fish tacos, and Hoisin duck. All that cooking is thirsty work - and fortunately you'll be able to hydrate on whatever the hell you like as this year it's BYOB. With only two months to go until September (we know), you better move fast for this perfect summer's evening.
The BBQ Club is taking place in a secret Clapham Old Town location from 23rd July - 29th August on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tables must be booked as part of a group (four - six people) with tickets costing £65pp. For more information and to buy your tickets, head here.
