Do we remember the dark days before the night tube? The dystopian world of leaving a bar at 11pm or forking out half of your salary on an UberLUX at peak rate. But we have been enlightened, the arrival of the night tube has saved us partying souls, allowing us to roam London until the early hours come the weekend. Bringing Christmas to Londoners early this year (it's been a toughie after all) is the arrival of the Piccadilly Line's night hours. Starting from the 16th of December, the line will be open for 24 hours every Friday and Saturday.
Crack open the Champers and pop the party poppers as trains run every ten minutes between Cockfosters and Heathrow Terminal 5. How best to celebrate the fifth line opening? By visiting some of the brilliant bars along the Piccadilly line night tube of course. Spend the night slurping cocktails at fun members club Keystone Crescent (King's Cross), party like it's holiday time at Tropicana Beach Club (Holborn) and gorge on a wine-filled dinner at Bar Boulud (Knightsbridge) - London is your oyster, people.
