Missing good, old fashioned, homemade pasta? While Gloria Trattoria and Circolo Popolare aren’t able to resume trading as normal, their mother company, The Big Mamma Group, are transforming their trattorias into delis and caterers... so you can tuck into some of London's best Italian food once again (from home at least).
From Wednesday 29th April, they will be offering a grocery service with products from their producer, such as parma ham, parmesan, olive oil and ingredients to make bread. All that making you thirsty? Get yourself some expertly-chosen bottles and a selection of homemade cocktails.
That’s not all though, as they’ll be serving some Big Mamma classics including, antipasti, burrata, lasagne, gnocchi, tiramisu and XXL cookies. There’s also going to be DIY pasta kits to create the restaurants’ signature mafaldine al tartufo, and of course… pizza.
How can you get your hands on these goodies? Head online and place your order, and once your basket is full you can choose a time slot to visit Gloria Trattoria or Circolo Popolare to pick it all up. There will be plenty of hygiene measures in place, with contactless collection and detailed documents to help with any concerns.
Orders to The Big Mamma Group can be made at any time with collection from Gloria Trattoria (54-56 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3QR) or Circolo Popolare (Rathbone Square, W1T 1PB) from 7pm-10pm. While the service is only Click & Collect for now, they're working on a delivery service and hoping to launch soon.
