The Bletchley is the latest project of the pop-up maestros at Lollipop. Arriving in Central London this spring, the bar celebrates Britain's intelligence history and promises to decode each guest's personality, before creating a cocktail that perfectly suits them.
The pop-up was inspired by Alan Turing and his team of cryptographers, who successfully broke the Nazis Enigma code during World War Two at Bletchley Park and, it's estimated, shortened the war by two to four years. But thankfully, troop movements and general orders aren't of interest here.
Instead, guests will take a seat in the venue's secret war room and will enter their details into the high-tech, specially-programmed cipher machine. Having broken down your personality, the machine will convert the results into cocktail ingredients and complex recipes. Once you've had a chance to sample the bespoke creation, you'll be given the highly-classified recipe to take home; recipes are never duplicated or remade.
The team behind this concept will hope to recreate the success of their other pet projects, which includes the ABQ Breaking Bad cocktail bar and The Bunyadi, London's first naked restaurant.
The Bletchley will open its door this Spring at a secret location in West London. Visitors will pay £30 each and will get to enjoy three bespoke cocktails created by the expert team of mixologists.
