Caling all big kids: London’s quirkiest restaurant, The Little Yellow Door, is celebrating Easter with a chocolate-fuelled feast that's sure to set hearts racing - literally. Putting their own sugary spin on popular picnic classics, the plush Notting Hill venue is testing even the most sweet-toothed amongst you.
Kicking off proceedings with their own take on a lunchtime staple, diners are invited - or should we say challenged - to tuck into Mini Egg sandos: a hefty sandwich consisting of Mini Eggs, Creme Eggs and extra chocolate crammed between two slices of Nutella-slathered white toast. Next up, their Scotch egg offering looks set to rival the infamous deep-fried Mars Bar for guilty pleasure top spot. Picture this: a battered Creme Egg served alongside Custard Cream dippers for your dunking pleasure. Sounds too goo goo-d to be true.
In need of something a little greener? An indulgent ‘salad’ will see you noshing on Easter Egg shards laden with Mini Eggs, Tangfastics and Skittles. Topped with a sprinkling of mint and a white chocolate dressing, it’s definitely an egg-streme take on the classic leafy dish.
The Little Yellow Door's chocolate egg-inspired menu is available from the 6th-12th April at 6-8 All Saints Road, Notting Hill, W11 1HH. The restaurant is open Wednesday-Thursday 6pm-1am, Friday 6pm-2am, Saturday 12pm-2am and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
