Three new bustling market halls are set to launch across London this year. Simon Anderson of Pitt Cue has teamed up with property, leisure and retail investor Andy Lewis Pratt to bring the city three new food halls in central and west London.
The first of the the market halls is due to be opened this Spring in Fulham. Taking over the former Fulham Broadway ticket hall, the 180-capacity location will feature a bar and 10 separate kitchens. The second, intended for Summer 2018, will be a 300-cover venue setting up shop across three floors of the old Pacha club in Victoria, housing three bars and 14 kitchens. The third, and biggest, of the food halls will be located in the former BHS building by Oxford Circus. Along with showcasing a huge array of vendors, restaurants, retailers and producers, the space will also comprise four bars, a demo kitchen and an event space. It's opening will coincide with the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street.
The team behind these three new market halls have intended the spaces to reflect the character of their locales through everything from the decor to the traders. The aim is to integrate the market halls further into the local community through events programmes and schools outreach, making these new enterprises an asset to local residents and visitors alike.
The three market halls proposed for London are due to launch in Fulham in Spring 2018, Victoria in Summer 2018 and Oxford Circus by the end of 2018.
