Happening this Friday, 7th June, the day is celebrating a dish that has fed thousands of British stereotypes, and one London spot has gone above and beyond. Iconic Poppies Fish & Chips in Shoreditch and Soho has teamed up with Sarson's Vinegar to whip up a new catch of the day in the form of a fishy-themed cocktail. The Vin & Tonic is an ode to vinegar-drenched potatoes and haddock, as gin, dry vermouth, sugar, dill, lemon juice, and Sarson's Vinegar are muddled together. Ditch the tartare sauce and add this quirky concoction to your takeaway as the chippy gives away 100 drinks for free.
Sarson's Vin & Tonic is being served at Poppies Fish & Chips in Soho (W1D 6HW) and Spitalfields (E1 6QR) on Friday 5th June. The first 100 customers can claim their drink for free.
