Gone are the days of stuffing your face with sausage rolls and crisps after a hazy trip to Amsterdam’s coffee shops. It’s all about quirky pop-ups like The Cannabistro these days, who arrive in London at the end of the month for a two-day eating session designed to help you “re-imagine the fine art of getting high.”
Cannabistro serves a four-course gourmet feast designed to reflect the process of getting high.
So there’s not going to be any actual consumption of any Mary J. Rather, this is all about the journey, as open-minded guests devour a menu designed to replicate the highs followed by the come-down (and the onset of the munchies) to finish. There’s four courses on the night, and you’ll need to register your interest first, such is the massive interest in this celebration of all things green.
The Cannabistro comes to London courtesy of Grub Club on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June. You’ll need to sign up on their website if you’re keen. Expect 'Roll Your Own' mackerel leaves joints, hemp seed kebabs and Snickers bars galore.
