Put a hold on that ticket to Val Thorens and instead jump on the District line to Parsons Green as Winterland brings a heap of ski style to West London. While you may know this area better for its sandy beaches and games of petanque over summer, Fulham Beach Club has had its winter spruce up, this time drawing on inspiration from a retro ski chalet. Along with the return of games such as skittles, table tennis, and beer pong, the space will be ramping up the Alpine theme with hot tubs that overlook the Thames and include waiter service.
If sipping bubbles and boozy hot chocolates in your own tub wasn't enough, Winterland will also have fur-lined cabins, igloos, ski bubbles and hunting lodges to get those slope-style selfies. Street food will be on hand to warm up even the coldest of nights, with dishes including fondue, chicken wings, wood-fired pizza, macaroni cheese and gourmet burgers. As we all know any trip to the Alps is really about the apres-ski, the pop-up will have a Moose Bar serving booze, along with DJs and live bands every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Big freeze? We're ready for ya.
Winterland will open on Thursday 7th November 2019 at Wandsworth Bridge, London SW6 2TY. Tickets to the experience start from £5 and can be booked here.
