WHAT

Let's take it back to the old school!
Join Ourhistory Archives at The Ministry for a deep-dive into previously unseen photographs from private collections including images of rave, club and party culture in New York and London.

This two day exhibition will launch on Friday 17th Jan. The launch will feature a documentary film screening of Sub Berlin: the Story of Tresor (Germany,2008/2024), a QA session and of course, DJs - the perfect thing to get you reminiscing about the rave.

WHO
Ourhistory began in 2008 with an exhibition celebrating 20 years of acid house. Originally launched at the London/Newcastle project space on Shoreditch’s Redchurch Street, it quickly moved to London’s Selfridges, before travelling onto IMS Ibiza, Tokyo, Berlin and Shanghai. Curated by Red Gallery founder Ernesto Leal, the exhibition will profile a series of global cultural phenomenons, with archived photographs provided by OurHistory from published works to never before seen pieces from private collections.

The exhibition will profile some of the most vibrant and exciting subcultures of the 20th and 21st centuries, from the 1970s Soviet Hippies movement through to the inception of Berlin techno in the early 90s, Ibiza through the years and the ongoing development of the UK’s rich club scene (of course featuring our very own Ministry of Sound).

WHERE
The Ministry is more than just a workspace and members' club—it's a vibrant community created by Ministry of Sound. We’re all about combining creativity, connection, and culture under one roof. With our unique events and carefully curated spaces, The Ministry is the ultimate place to work, play, and be inspired. Guests attending the quiz, have access to the workspace members' club for the day worth £40.

A thank you to The Marmalade Group & Music Support for presenting a wonderful evening of live music at The Ministry, showcasing Daudi Matsiko & Winnie Ama and sharing the work of Music Support in its support for those in the music industry experiencing challenges with substance use and or mental health.

Dan is a brilliant teacher. He creates a very positive and friendly atmosphere. I can’t recommend his drawing and painting classes enough.
