Description
This autumn, the Fellow-led LGBTQ Network are exploring performance, song and dance.
For the first event of the series, we will be joined by guest speaker and singer/songwriter PJ Taylor.
PJ Taylor is well known on the LGBTQ+ music scene and his records are constantly in the LGBTQI+ Music charts. This month, he joins us in the RSA Coffeehouse to share his creative process, talking about how he composes his songs and plans his performances.
Though not an instrumentalist, Taylor has become known as a gifted songwriter, creating lyrics and melodies independently. As quoted from LGBTQ music chart UK, Taylor "has recorded and performed songs of many genres but he likes to describe his music as Power Pop. His songwriting is often ambiguous leaving the listener to interpret the song in their own way. He likes to write songs that can be interpreted in a number of different ways, drawing mainly from his own experiences and emotions."
This Fellow-led event is free to attend, and open to Fellows and friends of the RSA.
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the Coffee House, which is open from 8am.
