Kew Gardens

Description

Kew Gardens, also known as the Royal Botanic Gardens, can be found in Richmond and is home to over 50,000 living plants, and over 7 million preserved specimens. The grounds date back to the 18th century, as a royal palace, before transforming into the institution it is today

Temperate House, the world's largest Victorian glasshouse, is where you'll be able to check out rare and threatened plants, then be sure to make your way over to the Arboretum where you'll find over 11,000 trees. There's also the pretty Davies Alpine House to check out, Palm House (an indoor tropical rainforest), and the Princesses of Wales Conservatory which opened in 1987. This gorgeous attraction is suitable for all year round as come Christmas time, it transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland of its own with spectacular light displays.
