AN IMMERSIVE MUSIC EXPERIENCE

In a forgotten alley behind London Bridge, an ancient world lies hidden.

Travellers speak of a land of music, feasting and legend; of the greatest love story ever told.

Find it, and you will dine in its halls, live out its legends. But don't delay - for soon its doors close forever...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

In Night’s Darkling Glory is an immersive music experience with live orchestra, running from October 19th-22nd. It tells the legend of Tristan and Isolde.

Explore an interactive three-storey world of food, music and fantasy built by set designers from events like behind Planet Gingerline and Alice’s Adventures Underground.

Feast on a castle banquet created by Masterchef Champion Natalie Coleman. Savour succulent hog roast, steaming platters of vegetarian delights and strange secret elixirs.

Cast off across the seas with the tang of salt on your lips. Feel the thrill of adventure in your heart and wonder at your final destination…as yet unknown.

On distant shores, be bewitched by storytelling and orchestral performance. Live out the legend of Tristan and Isolde through theatre and music. See a tale of ancient lovers and arcane magic brought to life.

Every few centuries, weary travellers return with stories of a miraculous vision, of the old magic rekindled for one brief moment. So be vigilant.

You are on strange and mysterious ground…

Arensky Chamber Orchestra
ARENSKY CHAMBER ORCHESTRA CREATORS OF IMMERSIVE MUSIC EXPERIENCES Purveyor of secret concerts, penthouse cabaret club performances, live programme notes and chamber jams, the Arensky Chamber Orchestra is the UK’s orchestra of revolutionaries and inventors. Founded in 2009, the ACO’s events have been sold out for three years and counting attracting a cult following 10 years younger than the UK classical average. With players hailing from leading British orchestras and chamber groups, it has won critical claim nationwide. “MOVING IN THE EXTREME” THE INDEPENDENT Now including a team of set, sound and lighting designers from projects like the Gingerline and Alice’s Adventures Underground, it has become the UK’s immersive music maker. With fearless performance, explorable sets, storytelling and food, drink, scent and sound design, it builds immersive experiences with ravishing music at their heart. “MADE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WERE AT THE CENTRE OF AN ARCTIC GALE WITH FROST ON YOUR CHIN” THE GUARDIAN From 2013-17, the ACO was resident orchestra of the Hospital Club, Covent Garden. There, it curated Concerts Re:Imagined, a series that re-defined the orchestral experience. Live programme notes, where the orchestra told stories about the repertoire from the stage, took audiences deep inside the notes. Themed cocktails, like the Faun’s Elixir, conjured up the music’s many characters, whilst spontaneous post-concert sessions, like a Hungarian Chamber Jam, brought the musicians and their listeners closer together. The orchestra has also performed at the Southbank Centre, collaborated with organisations like the Royal College of Art and Greenwich and Docklands Festival, and fused music with video DJs, dancers and actors. It has broadcast on Classic FM, worked with soloists like Benjamin Grosvenor and Jennifer Pike, and been led by concertmasters from the Philharmonia, BBC Symphony and Royal Philharmonic. From the 17/18 season onwards, the orchestra’s work includes immersive creations at the National Gallery, London and a series of touring adventures along the South East coast, in partnership with Arts Council UK.
