Sing away the blues on Blue Monday on Monday 20th January at BAM Karaoke Box Victoria, in partnership with CALM charity (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Did you know singing has proven benefits for your mental health? Singing lowers cortisol and relieves stress and tension. Studies have shown that when people sing, endorphins and oxytocin are released by the brain which in turn lowers stress and anxiety levels. So on 20th January for Blue Monday, BAM is inviting the public to try 'Karaoke Therapy' and allow everyone to have a boost of endorphins, by opening its doors all day and karaoke rooms for just £5* where they can sing to a curated Blue Monday playlist. Think Blue Monday by New Order, Blue by Eiffel 65, and All Rise by Blue.
Visit BAM's 'Blue' wellness lounge where you can partake in wellness activities, therapeutic singing, open mic in the BAM BAM Bar (from 7pm) and enjoy special prizes! PLUS, to make things even happier, BAM will be hosting an exclusive 'HAPPIEST HOUR' which means £2 BAM plates, pints and pours (house beer, wine, prosecco & selection of bam bites) between 6-7pm, perfect to let the stress of the day go.
For each room sold for January 20, 2025, £5 per person will be donated to Campaign Against Living Miserably, (Charity number 1110621 in England & SC044347 in Scotland). CALM Charity (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a youth suicide prevention charity on a mission to help people end their misery, not their lives. BAM will also be taking donations on the day.
BAM is an accessible and safe space for everyone to visit - we believe karaoke is for everyone and singing really has a positive impact on your wellbeing, mental health and creates a fun social space. If you’re not in group you’re still welcome to visit alone and participate. CALM is BAM’s annual charity partner and there will be a series of events to raise money for the charity - as we understand mental health awareness shouldn’t just fall onto one day.

Private karaoke rooms are available for groups of 4 or more people, subject to availability, rooms are allocated on a first come first serve basis. 1 hour of karaoke per group, anything in addition needs to be charged for karaoke.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
