Description
Women Worldwide Active a Not for Profit organisation was launched in May 2016 empowering women through creativity, knowledge, personal development and community.
Women who come to our transformative programme gather for an opportunity to change the course of their lives and a fresh start; lives that have been affected by extremely life challenging situations. Their backgrounds are diverse – but they all have one thing in common - they all want a better future!
We started our journey with women from Hackney, whom we met through charities like LAWA (Latin American Women’s Aid), visiting soup kitchens, and working with the Big Issue. Our idea was to create a local artisan group. We teach a craft, which creates products and purpose. The products are made available on our BackHER Crowdfund platform: www.womenworldwide.org/collections/backher-club
Every penny raised goes directly back into the project. No money is spent on admin or staff.
The operation is run entirely by volunteers who donate their time and their costs to the project.
Join us and our Festival to celebrate our year of courage, grit and achievement.
