The King's Arms

Join cosy pub The King's Arms in Bermondsey for its Artistic Date Nights and Candlelit Tables as part of its Watercolour Wednesdays. You'll be able to receive a free art lesson with Bob Ross on the TV and at the end of the evening, you'll leave your masterpieces with the boozer to be framed and sold for charity. 26 Curtain Road

Under the arches you'll be able to catch a diverse range of performances from musicians, and you'll even get the chance to draw them as art supplies are dotted around the venue. 

The Star of Kings

If you find yourself wandering around Kings Cross on a Tuesday night, looking for a pub quiz, then head on over to The Star of Kings just past Coal Drops yard where you'll find a buzzing atmosphere awaiting you, full of revellers looking to test their knowledge in the picture round. Entry to the quiz costs £2 each and food is available from Mexican masters Breddos Tacos. What's more, if you're into a spot of singing, they even have karakoe here. 

The Absinthe Parlour At The Last Tuesday Society

From 10th July to 16th September 2024, The Last Tuesday Society are hosting London's first exhibition on the origins and customs behind absinthe. This event has been curated by co-founder of Devil's Botany Distillery, Allison Crawbuck, and is totally free to enter. Sip on a glass of the spirit while exploring the artwork and paraphernalia from absinthe's height of popularity, before learning about the decline in this drink over the decades.

The Horse & Groom

Hit up The Horse & Groom on Curtain Road to get down to some vinyl-cut beats, thanks to its free DJ sessions on the weekend. Expect to hear the sounds of the 60s, 70s and beyond as top talents hit the decks. What's more, this cracking boozer provides some great grub, like pizza from Yard Sale, alongside refreshing ales and pints, so you won't be going hungry (or thirsty for that matter).
