If you're local to Dalston and looking for somewhere quaint and charismatic for a date night, have you thought about whisking your partner to the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden? If not, why not? The guys at the Garden actively encourage you to bring a picnic, there's a huge wooden pavilion with a wood-burning stove to protect against the winter chill, and crucially it's free to get in so you'll save a few quid while you're at it. There's hot water bottles, blankets, and lashings of mulled cider. Sounds good, right?
Of course, the appeal of the Eastern Curve Garden isn't limited exclusively to lovestruck couples, and this popular community-minded project extends a warm welcome to an eclectic mix of visitors. With the Garden Cafe stocked full of winter-warming hot drinks as well as refreshing lemonade and cakes, the Garden is also an ideal candidate to visit to catch up with your nearest and dearest or just perfect to go and chill out after a particularly hectic day.
The Dalston Eastern Curve Garden is open from 11am to dusk, Wednesdays to Sundays. In Spring, Summer and Autumn the Garden is open every day. Entry is free.
