With cider usually being associated with bad adverts and skint students, it definitely hasn't received a great rep in the last few years, but don't you fret as Hackney Wick's Crate Brewery are here to change of all that. On Saturday 19th of April, it's a great chance to taste some of the best ciders the West Country has to offer and demystify the myths surrounding the beverage.
Teaming up with Dan & Dan from The Cider Box, they'll be shipping over 15 different types of ciders and perry to the heart of Hackney Wick for a day of apple and pear based extravaganza.
Hosted at the Crate's Brewshed in Queen's Yard, they'll be stocking it with hay bales, hot smoked meats and some fine deep south Americana steeped blues, folk and country music from a crack squad of DJs and bands. If that's not enough, it's also free entry so you really don't have any reason not to go.
Crade Cider Fest runs the Saturday 19th of April, from 1pm to 1am and is hosted at 14a Queen's Yard, White Post Lane, Hackney Wick, E9 5EN.
