Not everyone is a fan of Valentine's Day so Miss Cakehead is here to help. If you've had enough of cupid, cards, flowers and Champagne this is the perfect event for you. Right off Carnaby Street, this one day pop-up in association with Kraken rum will be offering grisly cakes, black flowers and a number of dark delights this Valentines Day.
Participants can expect macabre bouquets arranged in grave vases, plus a bottle of Kraken rum instead of the conventional roses and champagne; they even come with the choice of two messages: "Take Me Whole" or "Swallow Me Piece by Piece". Happening in Kingley Court, the Think Ink florists one day opening will be offering floral options in return for voluntary donations to the project Redsand charity. With a range of flowers created artificially to emphasise their darkness, there will also be a handful of naturally dark flowers on offer such as the Queen of the Night Tulips, the darkest purple in colour, that look black to the human eye.
Miss Cakehead and Kraken Valentines Day Black Florist Pop-Up runs for one day on the 14th of February. Open from 8am until all bouquets are sold, it is a first-come first-serve basis and is strictly 18 and over.
