The creatives behind Dalston Roof Park, Background Bars and Bootstrap are back with an ambitious new pop-up. Running for six weeks, the project will celebrate the best culture, gastronomy and drinks that London has to offer. Pop-ups appear in all shapes and sizes, Night Tales is to take the form of a transformed east London car park and bunker.
With an eclectic mix of food on offer you will be spoilt for choice. US BBQ joint Smokey Tails are delivering a steaming, saliva inducing range of smoked meats, pulled pork and ribs while Young British Foodie award winners, Bao, offer an oriental treat in the form of Taiwanese steamed pork buns and soya milk fried chicken.
Jumping onto the popular drink of the moment, Night Tales are pulling in industry experts, and hosting tasting sessions for the mysterious Mezcal. You will have a chance to explore some of the finest Mezcal in the world and see for yourself the hype around Tequilas lesser-known sibling. A huge selection of craft beers are also available along with some winter warmers in the form of mulled wine, hot spiced cider and divine absinthe hot chocolate.
Taking place in the Abbot Street car park, the area is open every Thursday 6pm-11pm, Friday - 6pm-12am and Saturday 3pm-12am for six weeks. Every evening guests are treated to an eclectic mix of live bands, jazz music and DJs with the likes of Disco Bloodbath and The Vortex Jazz Club performing. Covered from the elements by a canopy, with cosy seating areas and toasty log fires this is the ideal place to spend a winters evening absorbing the culture of London.
