The team at Orangina are seeing off the summer in style, opening the idyllic Boulers pop-up in Hackney. Hoping to bring the suave opulence of the French Riviera to the London skyline, Rooftop East will see their terrace bar converted into an authentic French Pétanque club.
For anyone scratching their heads, Pétanque is a type of Boules, a game that involves throwing steel balls across a gravel pitch in order to get as close as you can to a coloured target. A popular pastime in France, Italy and much of the Mediterranean, the game will now reach high above the city, being played under the stars at Rooftop East.
The pop-up is organised by Swingers, the group in charge of a number of London's mini-golf spots. They've teamed up with Orangina to offer guests an evening of frivolous, ball-based fun, watching in awe as the sun slow sets behind the city's jagged skyline.
Completing the package, East London's dwellers will have a chance to try a number of delectable alcoholic cocktails, all produced by infusing Orangina with a range of different spirits and fruits. The perfect summer drink, the citrus taste of the Orangina offers a fantastic way to quench your thirst on a heavy, summer evening.
Stunning view, fantastic drinks and a bit of European-themed competition; we think this Boulers pop-up might be something special.
The Boulers Rooftop Pop-up will be open for a week between the 27th August and the 2nd September.
