Revolutions in Sound is back in London and this year, it's all about the clubs. On November 14th, this event will bringing together 30 of Britain's most iconic club nights for one massive session on the London Eye. Celebrating the 14th anniversary of the Red Bull Music Academy, the event will pay homage to UK club culture, as each capsule of the Eye is transformed into a mini nightclub hosted by some of the most legendary DJs, club nights and venues in the country, past and present.
The event will be screened around the world on YouTube and Channel 4, with pop-up celebrations in clubs across the county as well. Among the clubs taking part, are London outfits, Fabric, Shoom, The Blitz Club and Bugged Out! as well as Glasgow's iconic Sub Club, Bristol's Motion, and Jive Turkey from Sheffield. There will also be some special guest DJs and performers churning out the tunes on the 360 turn, with Derrick Carter, Gilles Peterson and Lily Allen among them.
Now in its third year, Red Bull's Revolutions in Sound showcases a different field of music each year, and this year's ode to EDM aims to celebrate both the history and the future of UK clubbing. Accompanying apps will clue in young ravers on the seminal DJs and clubs that created the scene we know today.
So whether you're raving it up in the capital, or busting some moves on your laptop at home, this is set to be one epic 360 dance party. Whatever you do, just don't look down.
