Former restaurant manager Jarrod Cooke and head chef Giorgio Ravelli of swish Spitalfields saloon Upstairs at The Ten Bells are eager to undertake an exciting, new adventure with an alfresco Italian spin. Heading to Homerton on 2nd July will be pop-up, double-storey rooftop restaurant retreat Brooksby's Walk, which will be making for a magical Mediterranean oasis to soak up this sunny-season in style.
Focusing on Northern Italian sharing plates, skillful chef Ravelli will be serving up a storm of sumptuous small dishes that will have you lip-smacked. A pinch of the Mediterranean in Hackney, this glorious gourmet grub will be finger-licking Italian-style tapas with bites including: Razor clams in grapefruit sauce vierge, Beef carpaccio with smoked Sicilian prawns and hemp seeds and Pork neck with fregola sarda and peas to name a few. To quench your thirst, a stellar selection of seasonal cocktails will be on offer, as well as a fine wine list that will accommodate every parched palate, so you and your comrades will no doubt be immersed in utmost elegance.
Every Sunday, the parasol-clad terrace will also host an all-day BBQ, which will prove to be a flavourful feast of smoky Swiss-Italian delights inspired by none other than Ravelli's roots featuring Ginger glazed pork ribs and Goat sausages. We're sure this restaurant-bar is going to have Hackney hooked, so shoot down this summer, learn about Italian vino, munch some Mediterranean nosh and natter the day away with a toothsome tipple in hand.
Running from 2nd July 2015, Brooksby's Walk is a temporary restaurant pop-up that we're yet to be told the end date, so do not hesitate in heading on down.
