The George on Great Portland Street is a Grade II-listed, 18th-century pub that's as beautiful as it is iconic, having held famous writers and poets within its lovingly restored walls. Ginza St James is one of the top London Christmas dinner restaurants, offering an authentic Japanese experience in the heart of the city. The slinky basement space has earned itself a mention in the Michelin Guide thanks to Executive Chef Alessandro Furusawa-Cadoni, who brings a minimalist, fine dining approach to his dishes.

On their £120 per person Christmas Tasting Menu, Japanese plates such as black cod croquettes and winter tomato carpaccio shine alongside assorted maki, grilled tiger prawns, poussin with shiso ponzu and more, with vegan options for every course too.

If you join them for their Festive Menu, for £75pp you'll get to devour mackerel carpaccio, pink shrimp tempura, ribeye steak, rice and miso soup, plus a gooey chocolate fondant.
