The Blind Beggar

Whether you're a sociable local or a history seeking tourist, The Blind Beggar in Whitechapel will suit you. Since 2005 it has had a full refurbishment of the interior, whilst still keeping its stylish Victorian charm and splendour. With open fires in winter and a large decked pergola with seating in summer, The Blind Beggar is a good year rounder.

The pub has a rich history with ghost hunters frequenting the area and The Ripper Walk passing by it on their tour. As a test of its popularity, guests can purchase themed merchandise too. They serve good pub grub and boast a great selection of drinks. In the milder months, expect live music and guest DJs playing ambient and chilled sets at the weekends. They have been awarded Best Outdoor/Smoking Area in London, which is also available to hire for private parties and licensed weddings.

It's a great place to enjoy a meal with a few bottles of wine and unwind. With the comfortable seating areas, large Koi pond in the garden, and the relaxed atmosphere, it's easy to forget you're in the city.
