Upstairs at Market House – AAA x The Jungle

We welcome you to AAA – a night full of nothing but the finest in Amapiano, Afro-House & Afrobeats.

Join us as we celebrate Amapiano, the South African dance music blend that is currently sweeping the world, instantly recognisable with its extended percussive intros and captivating basslines.

This infectious sound undoubtedly goes hand in hand with its brothers & sisters from the Motherland, Afrobeats and Afro-House. AAA will provide tribal, deep and soulful house music combined with funk, jazz & soul and traditional African sounds for an elegant night of music.

For this party, we’ll be collaborating with The Jungle, who will take you on a Journey to Africa through the spiritual sounds from the motherland. Feel the vibrations from the Drums as we give you a night of undiluted Afro House with a touch of Amapiano.

Together, these three genres create a dance floor experience unlike any other as people are joined together by the cultures and grooves behind the sounds.

We invite you to enjoy AAA – Amapiano, Afro-House & Afrobeats – at Market House’s carefully curated space

This was simply awful. We were expecting a large, decorated venue, with lots of people and drags! We ended up in a random dark room with a host dressed up in a plastic bag. The prices were a toilet paper roll and a clothing press. I feel absolutely robed. This is nothing like what is advertised. I feel sorry for the girl and the dj but at this point I would even love to have my money back.

I had high hopes for this drag show, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The “drag” aspect was misleading; it was simply a woman in costume, lacking the flair and performance you’d expect from a real drag show. The venue setup was unimpressive, and the atmosphere was lackluster. The food was overpriced and tasted awful—definitely not worth the money. To make things worse, the event was advertised to start at 7:30 pm but didn’t actually kick off until around 8 pm. With so few people in attendance, the reason became pretty clear. If you’re looking for a fun night out, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
