The Colonel Fawcett pub, in the back streets of Camden, has built up an incredible reputation since its inception (on the site of The Camden Arms est. 1845) in 2011. One of Camden's few independent free houses, we're proud to offer a great array of 19 beers on draft, over 100 gins and a fantastic…

Description
TONY LAW
Tony Law is a three-time Chortle Award winner, Amused Moose Best Show winner and Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee. His extensive TV and radio credits include: Have I Got News For You (BBC One), The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Celebrity Squares (ITV) Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Heading Out (BBC Two), The Culture Show (BBC Two), Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe (BBC Two), Edinburgh Nights (BBC Two), Tony Law’s Surreal Guide To Surreal Comedy (Radio 4 Extra), Loose Ends and Infinite Monkey Cage (Radio 4).
“One of stand-up’s premier goons, heroically committed to nonsense, knight errant of the dizzy non-sequitur.” The Guardian
“Chaos has rarely been so finely constructed and this much fun.” The Times
“Imagine if Harry Potter was a Canadian non-wizard who writes very funny jokes with his big hands, that’s Tony Law.” Sean Lock
“I can’t recommend this show highly enough. Tremendous comedy. Really great.” Tony Law
SINDHU VEE
Sindhu Vee is most likely the tallest Indian woman you’ll ever meet. The daughter of Indian parents, a London-based mother, and bearer of half a PhD, it is rumoured but unverified, that Sindhu practised the dark arts of investment banking before making her parents proud by becoming a stand-up. She devotes all the time she has left over from raising her 3 children (and a bizarrely gigantic labrador) to comedy and suffering facial peels.
Since bursting onto the UK stand-up comedy scene a few years ago she has charmed and beguiled audiences with her sharp tongue, accurate home truths and totally unique life experience. It’s no surprise then that she was nominated for a Best Newcomer gong at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, nor that she’s popping up all over our TV screens on iconic shows such as Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You and QI. She might still be new to stand-up, but she has the savvy and rootedness of a much-loved veteran. It’s no surprise that she’s already selling out her debut national tour, so best catch her at our wee gaff before she’s selling out huge theatres!
"Acerbic perspective and unapologetic delivery of less politically correct home truths." The List
"Effortlessly manages to be simultaneously waspish yet instantly very likeable." Chortle
SPRING DAY
Originally from New York and a product of the Japanese stand-up comedy scene (nope, we didn't realise it had one either), Spring is an punky, opinionated and idiosyncratic comic who has been tearing it up at global festivals for years.
"She's fucking funny. You'd be hard pressed to find someone more delightful and life affirming than Spring Day. Oh and she's not drunk, that's her real walk." Brendon Burns
"Day's best material is when discussing her cerebal palsy. She's got just the right amount of irreverance and quite expertly makes the audience feel comfortable about laughing at it." The Skinny
TOM CROWLEY
Tom is a writer, director and performer based in London, best known for playing Aston Lange in The Royals (E!), writing and performing (as Eric Chapman) in the Prix Europa-nominated podcast sitcom Wooden Overcoats (available now on all podcast platforms), and as the playwright behind the stage adaptation of the Rocky Horror sequel, Shock Treatment (King’s Head, 2015).
Tom is the founder and Artistic Director of Crowley & Co., a creative production company. Under that banner, he has produced and directed a number of award-winning and nominated productions at London's VAULT Festival including a two-week takeover called The Locker at the 2016 festival. He also directed Felix Trench’s Radioman (Old Red Lion, 2016), his own adaptation of Great Expectations (Old Red Lion, 2017) and a regular variety show called The Night. In 2017, Crowley & Co. won the Outstanding Contribution to VAULT Festival Award.
MAD RON
Mad Ron – The Third Hardest Man in Uxbridge, is a comedy creation of Steve Lee, first appearing on the comedy circuit back in December 2015. Mad Ron has taken the circuit by storm. Now a multi award winning act, Mad Ron also finished 3rd in the prestigious 2019 New Act of the Year competition
Not content with that Mad Ron has decided to expand his criminal comedy empire to the UK comedy festivals, having very successful runs at the Leicester, Cambridge, Telford, Hastings and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals. Mad Ron has now become a regular face on the London comedy scene popping up at clubs like The Stand_Up Club in Piccadilly, Backyard Comedy Club, Top Secret and Downstairs at the Kings Head to name a few.
“A well-constructed, well-practised set providing a dependable, gag-focussed start to the night.” Chortle
JENAN YOUNIS
Jenan is a London based comedian of Iraqi and Palestinian heritage. Her comedy has been described as a slap in the face. Don't sit within arm's reach!
"Smart, hip comedian – not to be missed." The List
AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:
BEN VAN DER VELDE
Freshly returned from the Edinburgh Festival, Ben is ready to take the helm at Good Ship once more and steer it through the vast ocean of comedy we have on offer. One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.
"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post
