A beautiful bar and restaurant in Canary Wharf, The Merchant brings sophisticated al fresco dining to London’s financial heart. Celebrating the area’s rich history, offering an elegant space to enjoy excellent food and drink, with outdoor seating overlooking the North Dock.

With the amount of offices in the area, there can never be too many pubs in Canary Wharf and The Merchant is a very good new addition to the scene. Its wide, open and eclectic spaces are the perfect setting to enjoy meals throughout the day and it also has 80 heated seats outside, overlooking the North Dock. 

The first floor private dining room, the Cabin, seats up to 20 or holds up to 30 standing and is available for hire from breakfast through to dinner, with full AV facilities for corporate meetings and events, while The Snug located on the ground floor hosts drinks parties up to 25.

If you would like somewhere that is quirky and intimate, the container will be perfect. Built to resemble a shipping container, this private space hovering above the main dining gives a great bird eyes view of the goings on below. With seating for up to 20 people, all around one large table, it is ideal for meetings with a HDMI compatible TV screen. Or why not book it for a celebratory private dinner. In the evening the room is transformed, get in the beers and throw a party that will really impress your guests.

Tucked in the corner of our main bar, The Snug is perfect for casual parties. Perfect for up to 30 people it is an ideal place for parties. We can provide a wide array of canapes and snacks, and also pre-ordered drinks which will save you having to queue at the bar.
