What they say:
The Chelsea Pensioner brings a great range of draught beers, a classic cocktail card and flatbread pizzas to Fulham Road, and that’s really only half the story. This is a polished new pub brought to Chelsea by the folks at Simmons, who are up to their old tricks with their marathon happy hours from 4-9pm every weekday. There’s also live music, comedy nights, pool, pub quizzes and a alfresco cinema screenings from the comfort of their secret beer garden in store too. Why would you ever leave?
What we say:
The blueprint for The Chelsea Pensioner is pretty damn flawless, but with the guys from Simmons at the helm, should we really have expected anything else? They’re brushing aside any claims that you can’t pick up an affordable drink in Chelsea, and their eclectic entertainment programme offers a little something for everybody. With bottled beers just £2.90 and a bottle of wine all yours for a tenner, this is surely the best happy hour pub in West London.
