Ye Olde Mitre

Description

Ye Olde Mitre, established in 1546 in Ely Place, takes their traditional pub-keeping very seriously. Walking through a beautiful, cobbled courtyard to the wooden front of the pub is like a step back in time.

The inside is decorated accordingly with historic artifacts and memorabilia on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The wooden panels on the walls and wooden tables contribute to the authentic feel of the pub.

One of the best pubs in London for real ales, they have 7 real ales on tap with 5 changing guests per week and hold 3 beer festivals a year. They have also become quite well known for their delicious bar snacks, tapas with an English twist.

Sausage rolls and toasties make the menu, they have a strong stance on not serving chips, with food available between 11.30am till 9.30pm. If you want to host a private party they have 3 different size rooms available to hire. Ye Olde Mitre was also voted the CAMRA pub of the year on 3 occasions! Open Monday to Friday, they are closed all weekends and bank holidays.
