"There is a new exciting music being made, with subtle harmonies and fierce grinding dischords, a music so powerful that it would drive us mad if only our ears were tuned to the sound of it"

The Rusty Suns

Good tunes, good harmonies, good fun, good times.
The Rusty Suns were formed in April 2013 when former Holloways front man Alfie, crossed paths with talented musician Tom. The pair wrote and performed acoustically at first but they soon won over bassist Alfredo and drummer Simon. The band pump out infuriatingly catchy melodies, foot stomping rhythms and thoughtful lyrics. The many influences and sounds combine and the end product needs quite a description… rockabilly, upbeat folk, rousing English trad songs, heavy indie riffs… it all seems very natural together somehow.

Dean Austin

"an incredible performance, displaying a talent and feel for tuneage that most acts would be pleased to share among an entire band" The Fly
After his first ever gig in a Tiki bar in New York City in 2004, Dean decided to jack in his well paid job to make music the priority in his life. Heading home to Bishop's Stortford he showcased at Acoustic Club for his first UK appearance and followed up with appearances at High Barn, Stortford Music Festival and many other venues between London and Cambridge. After concentrating on his band The Strangerhood for a few years Dean has returned to solo performances with a more experimental approach to his live sets. With a backdrop incorporating loops, effects and a little percussive jiggery-pokery for good measure, he fires off heartfelt lyrics with an intense delivery.
