Description
A riverside Victorian-era pub, The Crabtree in Hammersmith is a fine establishment with a long history with the area and remains to this day a fine spot for catching the best of the Boat Race. Vintage lampshades, black and white photos of the local area, and traditional wooden fixtures and fittings gives the venue an authenticity that harks back to its traditional roots. Ideal no matter what the season, it has a homely feel perfect for winter whilst its massive decked garden area almost makes it a convivial spot during the summer.
Near to Fulham's Craven Cottage, it's great for a pre or post-game drink, and is obviously quite a popular choice amongst the team's fans, so expect large crowds and a much livelier atmosphere than at other hours.
Providing a great selection of drinks (including real English ales) and an extensive and rich food menu, there doesn't seem to be much wrong with The Crabtree, making it one of the best riverside pubs in the area.
