Description
Sandwiched between the rugged Heath on one side and the charming village on the other, The Wells is a delightful pub perched on the top of a hill in Hampstead Heath. Once a run down building, the pub has been transformed and its original Georgian features revealed to create a very welcome addition to the drinking establishments in the area.
The pub is well regarded for its seasonal and ever-changing menu of homely gastro pub dishes. You can opt to dine in one of their three intimate dining rooms or head out onto the hill to sit in their outdoor terrace wrapped around the building. Expect a short and simple menu of healthy salads as well as comforting dishes such as salt beef and latkes.
Beer drinkers won't get thirsty with their great selection of London Pride real ale, Grolsch, Guiness and their frequently changing guest ale. There's also classic cocktails and world wines on offer as well. Ask to borrow one of their chess or scrabble sets to while away a lazy Sunday afternoon. Their friendly and welcoming policy means that dogs are welcome and be sure that's yours will be catered for with its very own dog bowl!
