ROSA GARLAND: PRIMAL BOG

The sensational new piece from Rosa Garland, the creator of Trash Salad (Featured in The Telegraph’s ‘Funniest Shows Of The Fringe’). Chronicling a slimy trek into the recesses of our minds, Primal Bog celebrates pleasure in its ugliest forms. Like Jackass if Johnny Knoxville was Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosa Garland's new comedy experiment will go to any extreme necessary to show you the hidden-away, mucky parts of your brain you try to ignore.

Warning: We recommend you check the content warnings in advance of attending.

'A force of nature’ - The Wee Review

‘A knock out… riotously funny’ - Binge Fringe

PEDRO LEANDRO: SOFT ANIMAL

Soft Animal is the debut show from Pedro Leandro, a comedian who has famously been described as 'magnetic' (Guardian) and 'a beautiful bright-eyed joy' (Everything Theatre).

Sadly, he has found this praise to be insufficient.

Standing atop the lonely Everest of his innumerable achievements, he invites his audience to reflect: will it, can it, ever be enough? If the whole world said, as one: “You are the greatest comedian that’s ever lived. In fact, you transcend that label. You are a raconteur. An artist. And we actually like that you’re gay” Would that be enough?

I mean, it wouldn’t hurt.

Thursday 8th May

A double-bill of full work-in-progress previews of Edinburgh Fringe shows produced by BIGHEAD Comedy.

SU MI: THISMOTHERPHUCKER

THISMOTHERPHUCKER is a public nuisance. They are a wild exploration of human existence capturing hearts, flies and stray bullets. They want to take your sweet and supple hand and lead you through your most feral fever dreams.

Award-winning stand-up and drag performance artist Su Mi presents their debut show: A dystopian punk adventure set to destroy archaic stereotypes whilst navigating a predominantly white cis space.

Finalist of Funny Women Awards, Musical Comedy Awards and West End New Act of the Year.

'Star comedic quality, difficult to craft' Funny Women

'A hugely entertaining force of nature' Chortle

CABBAGE THE CLOWN: SINNYWORLD

Presented in stunning CinemaScopeVision, working class chain cinema employee turned multi-award winning tragic fool Cabbage The Clown’s first ever solo show aims to do what Cabbages do best: Marry a selection of theatrical genres in polygamous holy matrimony, in the name of drag.

So talk through the trailers and get the loudest snacks you can then sit back, relax and enjoy the Bechdel Test-passing, BBFC-unapproved, global premiere of Cinema World.

Friday 9th May

A double-bill of full work-in-progress previews of Edinburgh Fringe shows produced by BIGHEAD Comedy.

BEBE CAVE: CHRISTBRIDE

In the dark, deathly world of the middle ages, one (annoying) woman strives to find the light. Join CHRISTBRIDE, a female mystic in a world of male dullards, as she escapes from a life of monotony to a life of devotion. Bebe Cave presents her debut character comedy show. In a time where people believe anything, CHRISTBRIDE is a wild historical farce about what happens when you believe in yourself a little too much.

ANNA HALE: CONTROL FREAK

Introducing Anna Hale: comedian, singer-songwriter, control freak. She’s written the jokes, the music and the lyrics. She’s rigged the lights and sold the tickets. But what happens to a control freak when her world is out of control? Anna's a socially anxious extrovert and a perfectionist with sixty minutes to solve her life, but the real challenge is doing it without letting anyone else have a go.

With a bunch of hilarious original songs, “natural charisma” (Beyond The Joke) and “undeniable vocal pyrotechnics” (Chortle), Control Freak is the debut show from the 2024 Musical Comedy Awards 'Audience Favourite' and runner-up.

Saturday 10th May

A double-bill of full work-in-progress previews of Edinburgh Fringe shows produced by BIGHEAD Comedy.

OZZY ALGAR: SPEED QUEEN

We are in the Speed Queen, the last launderette on the Isle of Wight! In here, Pet the ancient washerwoman divines the fates of her customers through their dirty laundry, and a story unfolds of an island ill-at-ease. A pitch black comedy that weaves the Isle of Wight’s untold myths and hidden histories with folk horror, original music and razor-sharp characters.

The "must-see" (DIVA Magazine) debut solo hour from 2024 Sketch Off! Finalist Ozzy Algar.

“star quality” (Live London Post)  “2025 one-to-watch" (LMAOnaise)

HOLLY SPILLAR: TALL CHILD

Following her critically-acclaimed sell-out debut Hole (‘An impressive debut from a compelling performer’ ★★★★ Chortle), musical comedian Holly Spillar is returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe armed with a loop pedal and some ever growing dissonant rage.

Tall Child is a surreal but observational hour about the impossibilities of making professional art in an ‘age of insecurity’. In a cost of living crisis and a country defined by class, Holly Spillar is searching her pockets for low cost joy - from Caravan holiday parks to 2p machines. She's Bo Burnham if he didn't have the means, she's Kate Bush…if Kate Bush smelt of damp.
