The Rose and Crown

Description

Kentish Town favourite The Rose and Crown is a traditional pub that has undergone an extensive refurbishment. Steeped in history and formerly known as the ever-popular Torriano, this age-old boozer has re-opened under it's original Victorian name with Chris Hurd at the helm.

The strong ties to the local community are clearly evident here. The owners offer a vast range of local beers from favourite breweries Hackney and Camden Town, as well as stocking lesser known wines and spirits to put the finishing touches to a diverse drinks cabinet. The pub sells food from the Green Cafe from 6-9pm on weekdays and from 2pm at weekends.

The site is renowned for it's cutting edge live music and comedy programme, and The Rose and Crown looks set to build on this reputation with frequent live entertainment in its famous basement bar. A warm and welcoming haunt, the venue would be well suited to a few after-work bevvies or dropping in to check out K-Town's emerging talent.
