What they say:
Formerly a music venue, Dirty South is a cool neighbourhood hang out in the heart of Lewisham. Having been forced to close after the venue underwent serious damage during the London riots, the pub has certainly risen like a phoenix from the ashes. Serving a hearty beer selection, as well as an array of gin and whisky-based cocktails, they aim to have a revolving line-up of street food vendors taking over the kitchen. To kick them off, Other Side Fried are on hand to serve up some delicious fried chicken burgers and loaded fries.
What we say:
Following the violence of 2011's London riots, Lewisham music venue Dirty South was irreparably damaged and forced to close. While no longer a music venue, it recently re-opened as a neighbourhood bar and restaurant. With cool dark wood and copper pipe interiors, the new Dirty South serves a great selection of beers, ciders and cocktails, as well as hosting a changing kitchen line-up from local street food vendors.
