The Heathcote And Star

Description

The Heathcote and Star joins the Electric Star Group to light the way for a loyal Leytonstone community that wants great food, drink, entertainment, and above all, character.

What are they offering? A lovingly restored watering hole (that’s more like a watering crater) with an unearthed skylight that lets a flood of natural light in, an epic-sized function room for all your more than functional needs, and the biggest beer Garden in Leytonstone.

That’s the building, but what’s going on inside & out? They've got the big games on Sky/BT Sports, but, you may be distracted by getting your own game on, on one of their pool or ping pong tables. Also, it would be remiss of them not to have some seriously brilliant music programming on, from low-key loveliness to a bit of hands-in-the-air DJ action. It’s a Star pub after all.

The main attraction though is their carefully curated cornucopia of drinks to tantalize the taste buds, with a food menu put together by their kitchen team at Root, Hoof & Claw. Count of a range of the very best pub food with pies, burgers, and classics such as bangers & mash. Every Sunday they have what is widely regarded as one of the best roasts in East London if not all of London.

The Heathcote & Star has two wonderful large function spaces available to book. The Pink Party Room on the ground floor is a light and open space featuring its own bar with plenty of seating. It is perfect for any party or birthday. The Green Grove Room is upstairs from the main pub space. It can hold up to 150 people standing and is a great place for drinks, a set menu dinner or performance space.

They don’t do ‘regeneration’ and just plonk down without a care for the community, so, they want to get to know you, know what you want. They want your old stories, magnificent memories and new ones to be made.

Menus

  • Cuisines

This venue serves Bar Snacks, British and Fine Dining food.

  • A word from the chef:

Krapow aims to bring proper Thai Street food to your table. Their flavours have a strong influence from Northern Thailand – Chiang Mai – which are punchy and complex, with international notes from neighbouring countries Laos, Myanmar (Burma) and China. Meaning there is something for everybody on this pub menu.

The Heathcote and Star - London Pub Review

I spend most of my nights staring at the night’s sky and pondering life’s big questions (are we alone? How has no one fallen for my witty Bumble one-liners?). It’s something that runs in the family; with every meteor shower, my dad would take us to the farmer’s field up the road to watch thelittle…
